A Day of Welcome 2020
Digital Exhibition
One of the resources for A Day of Welcome 2020 encouraged pupils to learn about the experiences of Syrian refugees who have fled the Syrian conflict and resettled in this country. In response to their learning, the pupils were invited to create Words of Welcome - artworks to demonstrate that these families, and others who have been forced to flee their homeland, are welcome in the UK.
Submissions have been collated to create a live digital exhibition (below) which has been shared with some of the Syrian families who have come to the UK under the ‘Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme’.
